 4 Hermanos - Only the freshest seafood is served daily at this beachfront restaurant located on Playa Larga. If you're driving, when you reach the waterfront turn left and look for their sign on the right. Cel. 755-101-3482

 Amuleto - Luxurious and romantic gourmet dining in an open-air garden under the stars at this boutique hotel with a spectacular view overlooking Zihuatanejo Bay from the hillside between La Ropa and Las Gatas beaches. Reservations recommended.

 Bananas - Unbeatable prices for breakfast! Delicious and carefully prepared meals. Fresh juices and fruits. Also a great place for lunch. Part of El Mango on Calle Nicolás Bravo in Zihuatanejo around the corner from the bank BANCOMER.

 Bandido's - Mingle with the locals and enjoy refreshingly cold drinks and delicious Mexican lunches, dinners & appetizers in downtown Zihuatanejo on the corner of Calle Cinco de Mayo and Calle Pedro Ascencio across from both the church and the artisans handicrafts market. They feature live music and satellite TV sports.

 Beccofino - A wonderful marriage of Mediterranean and Mexican cuisine! Excellent seafoods and pastas in a romantic setting on the waterfront at Marina Ixtapa.

 Café Chuleto - Delicious seafood and innovative international dishes, located on the waterfront walkway El Andador del Pescador in Zihuatanejo just before the Naval Station and the pier. Tel. 554-6639

 Café Marina - Delicious pizza, pastas, sandwiches and other assorted special dishes. Be sure to check the Daily Specials! This is also the place to trade in or buy used books for your reading pleasure from their ample selection. Located in downtown Zihuatanejo on the waterfront next to the town plaza and basketball court at the Casa Marina.

 Casa Morelos - Delicious 100% fine Mexican cuisine. Specializing in seafood dishes of Guerrero. Located in the La Puerta Shopping Plaza in Ixtapa.

 Cenaduría Antelia - This long-time favorite restaurant since 1975 serves traditional Mexican dinners including pozole, tacos dorados, enchiladas, tamales, atole, and plátanos con leche. Located in downtown Zihuatanejo on Calle Nicolás Bravo #14. Tel. 554-3091

 Chendo's - Local seafood cooked to perfection, always fresh daily. Located on Calle Adelita in Colonia La Madera in Zihuatanejo. Cel. 755-108-9531, 755-102-9548, 755-101-4341

 Chez Arnoldo - Located near the beginning of Playa Las Gatas this family-run restaurant is not only a great place to eat breakfast and lunch but also to pass the day sunning and swimming. Their chef, Noyo, learned a few tricks while working as a chef in Switzerland! Delicious fresh fish and other local seafood are their specialties. But careful with the margaritas under the sun!  Chili Beans - A delightful restaurant on Ixtapa Boulevard featuring homemade chili and assorted Mexican dishes as well as standard fare of burgers for those who must. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.

 Coconuts - One of Zihuatanejo's landmark restaurants located in a historical building offering fine cuisine, courtyard dining, a friendly bar, and frequent live entertainment as well as cultural events.

 Domino's Pizza - It had to happen sooner or later. They deliver. In Ixtapa on the Boulevard above Café Onyx. Tel. 553-1333

 El Galeon - Fine cuisine from the sea with a Mediterranean touch. Dine on a replica galleon on the waterfront at luxurious Marina Ixtapa. Tel. 553-2150

 El Manglar - Delicious fresh seafood, Mexican dishes and international fare. Located just off the beach at Playa La Ropa near the south end. Look for the bridge crossing the small lagoon where several crocodiles live. Tel. 554-3752

 El Mango - Great tacos, pozole, and other traditional Mexican dishes. Satellite TV! Located in Zihuatanejo at Calle Nicolás Bravo #9. Tel. 554-2421

 El Mediterráneo - Located next to the church "Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe" on Calle Cinco de Mayo (formerly Caprichos) in Zihuatanejo near the Naval Station and the artesans' market. An excellent mix of regional dishes from the region of the Mediterranean Sea and Mexico including seafood and pastas. Tel. 553-8042, cel. 755-557-8576

 El Mesón de Don Chón - Delicious and succulent roasted chicken with all the fixings like you've never tasted anywhere else! Located in downtown Zihuatanejo on the corner of Calle Vicente and Calle Catalina González. Eat in or take out. Tel. 554-7617

 El Pueblito - Dine in a large courtyard in a colonial Mexican atmosphere at this restaurant offering traditional dishes of the State of Guerrero, including pozole on Thursdays and barbacoa on Sundays. Located on Avenida Morelos #249 one block from the Plaza de la Libre Expresión in Zihuatanejo. Tel. 554-8414

 Emilio's Pizza - Mouth-watering pizza and delicious Italian and Mediterranean dishes. Located in Ixtapa at Plaza Ixsol across the street from Ixtapa Palace and the Villas Paraíso Hotel. Tel. 553-1585

 Espuma - Sophisticated Latin "fusion" dining overlooking the bay at the Hotel Villa Guadalupe in Zihuatanejo. Tel. 554-3005, 544-8383

 Fonda Doña Licha - A popular economical restaurant with home-style regional dishes including Pozole Thursdays. They offer breakfasts and lunches. Located in downtown Zihuatanejo behind the municipal market on Calle Cocos #8, Centro. Open daily year round from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

 Fonda La Tertulia - Delicious regional dishes of breakfasts and lunches prepared with care. They offer daily lunch specials, wireless internet, and deliveries within the historic downtown area. Located in downtown Zihuatanejo on the corner of Pedro Ascencio and Hermenegildo Galeana streets. Tel. 554-9783

 Fonda Suzy - Economical and well-prepared breakfasts and lunches. A local favorite. Find their small restuarant in Zihuatanejo on Calle Nicolás Bravo about mid-block between Calles Vicente Guerrero and Benito Juarez.

 Fragolino - Italian-style gelato (ice cream) in over 40 flavors made with all natural ingredients. Located in La Puerta Shopping Center in Ixtapa and across from the Plaza Municipal in Zihuatanejo.

 Garrobos - In downtown Zihuatanejo at the Hotel Raúl 3Marias Calle Juan N. Alvarez #52, this fine restaurant has a wide variety of local seafood as well as more traditional Mexican dishes. Tel. 554-6706, 554-2977

 Glob's Cafe - For breakfast, lunch and dinner eat in air-conditioned comfort. Two locations in Zihuatanejo: one on Calle Mangos beside the downtown Central Market, the other on the Carretera Nacional 200 Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa opposite the Palacio Municipal del H. Ayuntamiento (City Hall). Tel. 554-8188

 Inn At Manzanillo Bay - Fine cuisine by the waterfront in the restaurant of this unique Bed and Breakfast located on the beach at Playa Manzanillo near Troncones. The Chef/Owner is a graduate of the California Culinary Academy and has been featured in AAA Magazine's dining guides, Outside Magazine and the Culinary Academy's Alumni Cookbook Series.

 Kau-Kan - Exquisite gourmet dining overlooking Madera Beach and Zihuatanejo's Bay. "Probably the best restaurant in town!" according to Travel & Leisure.Very romantic! Find their new modern adobe-built restaurant above the Hotel Irma on the road to La Ropa Beach.

 La Casa Vieja - Located on the road to Madera Beach, this restaurant offers beautiful garden dining and very authentic traditional cooking. Calle Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez #7, tel. 554-9770

 La Condesa - Enjoy fresh seafood and cold refreshments under a palm frond-covered ramada on the beach next to the lagoon at Barra de Potosí. Relax in their hammocks and enjoy your meal with your feet in the sand. Located just past the village, first restaurant on the far right (the first in the series of beachfront restaurants).

 La Gula - This intimate, affordable, unpretentious gourmet restaurant is a surprising discovery though practically hidden in this quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance from downtown Zihuatanejo. Located at Calle Adelita #8, Colonia La Madera. Tel. 554-8396

 La Hija del Capitán - Located in downtown Zihuatanejo at Calle Nicolás Bravo #39 above La Playa Bar. Specializing in delicious salads, juicy tuna steaks, tasty chicken wings, BBQ baby back ribs, tender 100% Angus beef steaks and hamburgers, and of course tempting desserts. All made with owner Tanya's secret recipes.

 La Jaiba Feliz - Perfectly prepared regional and national fare. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and offering daily lunch specials. Delivery within the immediate downtown area. Located in downtown Zihuatanejo on Benito Juárez Avenue on the corner of Las Palmas street. Tels. 554-2405, 554-2922

 La Mordida - Absolutely mouth-watering delicious pizzas, tacos, and mesquite-grilled hamburgers! Free home delivery or dine at one of their open-air restaurants located on Paseo de La Boquita #20, at El Hujal on the Carretera Nacional, both in Zihuatanejo, and at Ixtapa Palace in Ixtapa. Tel's.  La Sirena Gorda - Enjoy Luis's famous seafood tacos and other delights in this cafe-style restaurant on the waterfront walkway called "El Andador del Pescador" across from the Navy offices next to the pier in downtown Zihuatanejo. A long-time favorite with locals and yachters, you'll hear some good fish stories here! Tel. 554-2987

 Lety's - Fresh local seafood and regional fare prepared to perfection at this small family-run restaurant located in El Almacén. From downtown Zihuatanejo cross the footbridge near the pier and turn left and look for a small blue building on the hill to the right.

 Mamma Norma & Deborah - A wonderful restaurant in La Puerta shopping center in Ixtapa. Featuring a variety of fresh seafood, homemade Mexican dishes, pastas, well-prepared meats, and delicious desserts among their specialties. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

 Margaritas - Delicious 100% Mexican recipes prepared with a home-style gourmet touch. Located in Colonia La Madera at Calle Josefina Ortiz de Domínguez. Open year round Monday through Friday for breakfast and lunch, and Saturday for breakfast. Offering a daily "comida corrida" for lunch. Tel. 554-8380

  Mi Cabaña/Pizzas Locas - One of our best kept secrets (so that we locals have a place to eat when the tourists fill up the other restaurants) located in Zihuatanejo on Calle Vicente Guerrero #7 in the first block from the waterfront across from the bakery Panadería Buen Gusto. This garden restaurant has great portions for very reasonable prices. Great BBQ ribs here as well as fine seafood (I recommend the fish broiled in aluminum!!!). Also well known for their pizzas and they deliver! Tel. 554-3569

  Mi Chayito - Delicious Chinese and Mexican dishes. Located on Vicente Guerrero street in downtown Zihuatanejo in the second block from the waterfront. Tel. 554-5799

 Nayito's - Enramada seafood restaurant at Barra de Potosí with a family atmosphere. Enjoy lunch and cold drinks in the shade of the palm fronds on the beach with your feet in the sand. Relax in a hammock for a siesta. The second restaurant on the right just past the village (next to La Condesa). Corona beer served here!

 Nueva Zelanda - Located in Ixtapa at Centro Comercial Kiosko. A favorite meeting place for breakfast, but serving meals all day! Tel. 554-2340

 Panadería el Buen Gusto - Delicious baked pastries, cakes, rolls & breads by one of the oldest bakeries in Zihuatanejo. Get your pan dulce here (we do!). A great place for coffee & fresh juice with your breakfast rolls. Tel. 554-3231

 Piazza D'Angelo - An excellent and very authentic Italian restaurant offering open-air sidewalk café style dining, located on the corner of Hermenegildo Galeana and Nicolás Bravo streets in downtown Zihuatanejo. Open for lunch and dinner. You'll be licking your fingers!

 Pollos Locos - Old fashioned firewood broiled chicken and meats. Homemade style and flavor. In Ixtapa in the Hacienda shopping plaza. Tel. 553-0180

 Porto di Mare - Fine Mexican and Italian cuisine located in downtown Zihuatanejo on the waterfront at Paseo del Pescador #56. Tel. 555-3902

 Restaurant Rossy - Long-time favorite seafood restaurant on the beach with palapas and sundeck located at the south end of Playa La Ropa on Zihuatanejo Bay.

 Ruben's Hamburgers - A long-time local favorite, Ruben's specializes in juicy mesquite-charbroiled hamburgers, baked chayotes, and baked potatos, as well as french fries and onion rings. Serve yourself a cold beer or soft drink from their fridge and make yourself at home. Located on the Andador Punta San Esteban at Plaza Flamboyant in Ixtapa, near Emilio's Pizza.  Rufo's Grill - This small open-air restaurant offers delicious dining under the stars at Calle Adelita #1 in Colonia La Madera in Zihuatanejo. Mexican cuisine featuring fresh choice meats and seafood. Located on the corner of Calle Adelita and Calle Nuestra Señora de los Remedios near La Ceiba Suites at the bottom of the hill.  Soleiado - Across from the Park Royal Hotel in Ixtapa, this restaurant not only serves excellent Mediterranean cuisine but also has the best Eggs Benedict this side of the Río Bravo! Tel. 553-2101

  Tamales y Atoles Any - Traditional and authentic Mexican cuisine! This place is probably the most authentic Mexican restaurant you'll ever eat in. Only traditional foods here, no burgers or junk food! On the corner of Calle Vicente Guerrero and Calle Ejido in Zihuatanejo across from the Banamex bank, and in Ixtapa at Centro Comercial Kiosko.  Tropic of Cancer Beach Club - A great place to hang out over a game of backgammon, sip a drink in the pool, play in the waves, or munch on snacks or full meals located at Troncones.  Villa de la Selva - Enjoy spectacular sunsets and fine dining in this very romantic restaurant in a former Mexican President's cliffside villa overlooking the bay in Ixtapa. This is one restaurant that should not be missed! Tel. 553-0462

 Christine's - This world-class disco at the Hotel Krystal in Ixtapa really gets packed on Ladies' Nights! Very popular with locals and visitors alike. On Ixtapa Boulevard. Tel. 553-0456

 Cohiiba Video Bar - Fun & lively meeting place and watering hole, located beside the Flamingo Cinema in Ixtapa.

 El Canto de las Sirenas - Restaurant and bar with excellent local guitar music by your host José Luis Cobo López. Open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 PM to 2:00 AM. Located at Calle H. Colegio Militar on the corner of Calle Neptuno by the bus station just off the Zihuatanejo highway. Tel. 554-6709

 La Playa Bar - Popular hangout and sportsbar offering ice-cold beer (Corona, no Sol) and favorite spirits including mixed drinks. A great place to make friends and relax as well as to enjoy favorite sports and other popular programs via satellite TV. Located on Calle Nícolas Bravo #39 in the heart of downtown Zihuatanejo.
